MEET THE ARTIST

Jessica Alejandra was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Since a very young age and guided by the hand of her grandmother (who was an amazing weaver), she started to experiment by working with natural fibers such as raw cotton, wool, and hemp by doing small wall hangings and wearable accessories.

While finishing her studies in Human Biology, she became a licensed artisan and kept evolving her techniques and knowledge in the textile art’s medium. In 2015, she moved with her husband to Palm Beach, Florida, and decided to pursue her dream of becoming a full-time professional textile artist under the label of Vita Boheme fiber-art-studio.

A passion that one day started as a hobby, quickly became a thriving small art business. Vita Boheme art has been awarded as Best in Show at the ArtiGras fine arts festival. Her work has been featured on HGTV and incorporated in many decor projects for well-recognized interior design professionals, fine art consulting firms, hotels, country clubs, retail stores, restaurants, and private residences all around the world.
